Humble Forgiveness
तस्मात्प्रणम्य प्रणिधाय कायं प्रसादये त्वामहमीशमीड्यम्। पितेव पुत्रस्य सखेव सख्युः प्रियः प्रियायार्हसि देव सोढुम्॥
What does Bhagavad Gita 11.44 mean?
I bow down before You and seek Your grace. O Lord, as a father bears with his son, a friend with his friend, and a lover with the one he loves, so too may You bear with my faults.
How can I apply Gita 11.44 in daily life?
Asking for forgiveness is not weakness; it is a great act of courage. When we admit our fault and ask for forgiveness, the heaviness in our mind lifts. This verse teaches us to remain simple and true before God.
Krishna's teaching
After beholding Krishna's cosmic form, Arjuna bows down before the Lord with complete humility and prays for forgiveness and grace. This teaches us that alongside love for the Supreme, there should also be humility, faith, and surrender.
Affirmation
Placing my faults at the feet of the Lord, I feel light and free.
