Fleeting Pleasure

ये हि संस्पर्शजा भोगा दुःखयोनय एव ते। आद्यन्तवन्तः कौन्तेय न तेषु रमते बुधः॥

What does Bhagavad Gita 5.22 mean?

Pleasures born from the contact of the senses with their objects are, in the end, only sources of sorrow, since they are impermanent. The wise do not seek happiness in them.

How can I apply Gita 5.22 in daily life?

We often chase after things that give pleasure now but bring regret later. This verse helps us understand the difference between fleeting 'fun' and lasting 'joy.' True joy comes from within, not from outer, momentary pleasures.

Krishna's teaching

Krishna shows that pleasures which begin and end can never truly satisfy the soul.

Affirmation

I set aside superficial pleasures and choose the joy that never dies.
