Imperishable Joy
बाह्यस्पर्शेष्वसक्तात्मा विन्दत्यात्मनि यत्सुखम्। स ब्रह्मयोगयुक्तात्मा सुखमक्षयमश्नुते॥
What does Bhagavad Gita 5.21 mean?
One who is not attached to outer pleasures finds infinite joy within their own soul. Such a person, connected with the Supreme, experiences a happiness that never ends.
How can I apply Gita 5.21 in daily life?
Pleasure gained from outer things is fleeting, while the peace and contentment that come from within are far more lasting. So, for true happiness, one should seek peace within rather than depending on outer circumstances.
Krishna's teaching
A person who is not attached to the happiness derived from outer objects, and who experiences joy within the soul itself, attains a lasting and imperishable happiness.
Affirmation
I need nothing from outside; my own heart is an ocean of joy.
