What does Bhagavad Gita 6.16 mean?
O Arjuna, yoga is not attained by one who eats too much, nor by one who does not eat at all. It is not for one who sleeps too much, nor for one who is always awake.
How can I apply Gita 6.16 in daily life?
Krishna teaches Arjuna the path of meditation, explaining that balance in life is essential for success in yoga: neither eating too much nor fasting excessively; neither sleeping too much nor staying awake too much. So one should follow a diet, sleep, and daily routine suited to one's needs, to keep body and mind healthy and balanced.
Krishna's teaching
Krishna teaches that avoiding all extremes is essential to attain perfection in yoga. Balance and moderation in food, sleep, waking, and daily life are what make the practice of yoga steady.
Affirmation
I keep moderation in my diet, sleep, and daily routine, to maintain success and balance on my life's journey.
